About the role

Alpha Car Hire is seeking a Customer Experience Representative and a Vehicle Cleaner to fill our casual opportunities at our fast-paced Tweed Heads branch. You will be responsible for attending to customers hire vehicle requirements ensuring our customers receive quality service and an experience they would repeat, share, or recommend. The available roles will be worked in accordance with a seven (7) day rotating roster within the branch operating hours of Monday to Sunday 5am to 9pm.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Providing outstanding customer service by understanding and anticipating their needs
  • Opening and closing rental agreements
  • Selling additional over the counter rental products
  • Managing reservations
  • Checking for and recording vehicle damage and maintenance checks
  • Cleaning and presenting passenger and commercial vehicles
  • Movement of vehicles throughout the location and offsite for refuelling, maintenance, repairs or other location as required
  • Operating the Customer shuttle service in a safe and professional manner while ensuring it is maintained to a clean and safe standard
  • Ensuring compliance and workplace health and safety risks and incidents are reported promptly and managed effectively
  • General branch cleaning duties

About the role

Alpha Car Hire is looking for a Full-time Vehicle Cleaner to join our Operations team located in Mascot, Sydney. You will be responsible for ensuring vehicle cleaning is completed to a high standard resulting in a high-quality output to all customers. The available role will be worked in accordance with a seven (7) day rotating roster and required to work within the branch operating hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday to Sunday 8am to 3pm.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with hourly award rates per applicable award classifications alongside superannuation according to the Super Guarantee.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Cleaning passenger and commercial vehicles
  • Vehicle maintenance checks
  • Checking for and recording vehicle damage
  • Movement of vehicles on and offsite for refuelling, maintenance, repairs, delivery to customers or other location
  • Assisting with Customer Service tasks as required
  • Ensure compliance and workplace health and safety risks and incidents are reported promptly and managed effectively
  • General branch cleaning duties

About us

The Alpha Finance SME enables customers to own a vehicle affordably with efficiency and is seeking a hands-on permanent part-time Management Accountant (16 hours a week) to provide the business with financial insights and analysis to support sound decision-making. The role is located at Alpha’s new head office in Brisbane’s CBD and reports directly to the Alpha Finance Chief Financial Officer.

The successful candidate will be solutions focused and at home in a fast-paced environment with daily display of Alpha values, honesty, accountability, respect, trust, loyalty and will be rewarded with a pro rated hourly rate based on annualised salary of $80,000-$90,000 plus super.

Key responsibilities

  • Month end closing and reporting including reviewing profit and loss statements and making appropriate accruals/prepayments as required
  • Maintain integrity of general ledger
  • Accurate and timely preparation and reconciliation of accounting journals, bank and credit card transactions
  • Assist with the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and BAS returns
  • Assist with developing and implementing internal control policies and procedures with the aim to drive efficiencies
  • Respond to financial enquiries from both internal and external sources
  • Preparing general ledger accounts analyses and producing monthly or ad hoc reports
  • Weekly suppliers payments and AP tasks
  • Payroll support and processing
  • Providing supporting documentation for audit and tax purposes

 

Essential qualifications and skill requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years accounting related experience is essential including well developed skills in analysis and interpretation of financial data.
  • Experience working for SME businesses desirable
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills
  • Is working towards completion of CA/CPA
  • Familiarity with Accounting Software.
  • Current knowledge of accounting standards, principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, professional attitude and reliability
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and consistently meet deadlines
  • Be able to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Support team members through the sharing of knowledge and information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Willingness to learn and desire for continuous improvement
